BR Services LLC is seeking a highly skilled Automation Technician to support maintenance operations in oil and gas or fertilizer plant environments in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing automation systems, PLCs, SCADA systems, and automated equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.

AUTOMATION TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant working experience as an Automation Technician.
• Must have maintenance experience in an Oil & Gas or Fertilizer plant.
• Must hold a Diploma in Automation.
• Must have a course certificate in PLC and SCADA.
• Strong expertise in industrial automation systems, PLCs, SCADA, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Bachelor’s/College Degree in Others or a related field.
• Ability to troubleshoot automated machinery, control systems, and industrial electrical equipment.
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary maintenance team.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation systems, PLCs, SCADA systems, and automated machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in computer-controlled systems, control panels, sensors, actuators, and robotic devices.
• Repair, calibrate, and maintain automation equipment to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
• Monitor the performance of automation systems and recommend improvements where necessary.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, control schematics, P&IDs, and technical documentation.
• Assist in the installation, testing, commissioning, and modification of automation and control systems.
• Configure and troubleshoot PLC programs and SCADA interfaces when required.
• Coordinate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams during equipment maintenance and plant shutdowns.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
