KBR Services LLC is seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician (Utilities Plant & Product Handling) to support maintenance operations in oil and gas or fertilizer plant utility systems in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment used in utilities and product handling systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations.

MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN (Utilities Plant & Product Handling)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant working experience as a Mechanical Technician.
• Must have maintenance experience in the utilities section of an Oil & Gas or Fertilizer plant.
• Must hold a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Technology.
• Bachelor’s/College Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of utility plant equipment, mechanical systems, and product handling equipment.
• Skilled in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and mechanical repairs.
• Ability to read technical drawings, equipment manuals, and engineering documents.
• Good analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Willing to work in Qatar and comply with company and project requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on utility plant equipment, including boilers, pumps, compressors, valves, motors, and associated mechanical systems.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair product handling equipment such as conveyors, loading systems, and material handling machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
• Perform equipment installation, alignment, overhaul, and commissioning as required.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, mechanical diagrams, P&IDs, and maintenance manuals.
• Conduct routine inspections and condition monitoring of mechanical equipment.
• Replace defective mechanical components and ensure equipment operates according to manufacturer specifications.
• Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams during shutdowns, turnarounds, and routine maintenance activities.
• Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, and equipment history documentation.
• Comply with company policies and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards at all times.
