Aureol Global Connections is seeking qualified and experienced LDPE Lagoon Liner Installers / Geomembrane Welders for an overseas work opportunity in Ireland. The successful candidates will install and weld LDPE and other geomembrane liners for agricultural, wastewater, slurry, attenuation, and environmental lagoons while ensuring watertight seams, proper liner placement, quality control, and compliance with safety requirements.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience installing and welding LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE, or similar geomembrane liners.
- Proven competence in hot-wedge fusion welding and/or extrusion welding.
- Ability to produce consistent and watertight geomembrane seams.
- Experience testing welded seams and identifying welding defects.
- Understanding of liner preparation, overlaps, anchoring, penetrations, repairs, and installation procedures.
- Ability to read and follow installation drawings, measurements, technical instructions, and manufacturer specifications.
- Good knowledge of geomembrane welding and liner installation practices.
- Experience using seam-testing and non-destructive testing equipment is an advantage.
- Recognized geomembrane-welding training or manufacturer-approved certification is an advantage.
- CSCS, CSR, or equivalent construction-site safety card is an advantage.
- Working-at-height, manual-handling, and abrasive-wheels training is advantageous.
- Experience installing liners for agricultural, wastewater, slurry, attenuation, or environmental lagoons is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements on construction and installation sites.
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors, on slopes, and in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to perform manual work and safely handle liner materials and equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a site installation team.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Age requirement: 25–52 years old.
- Willing to follow company policies, manufacturer specifications, site procedures, and safety requirements
Responsibilities:
- Inspect the prepared lagoon base before liner installation.
- Identify and remove or report stones, sharp objects, uneven areas, debris, and other conditions that could damage the liner.
- Assist with the installation of geotextile protection layers where required.
- Unroll, position, align, and deploy LDPE liner sheets according to the approved installation plan.
- Ensure appropriate overlaps, anchoring, movement allowances, and thermal expansion provisions are maintained.
- Prepare liner surfaces for welding and ensure welding areas are clean and properly aligned.
- Weld LDPE liner sheets using approved hot-wedge fusion and/or extrusion welding equipment.
- Complete membrane seams, patches, corners, pipe penetrations, transitions, and other detailed areas.
- Set and monitor welding temperatures, speeds, and pressures according to material requirements and weather conditions.
- Perform trial welds before production welding and whenever site or weather conditions change.
- Inspect completed seams for proper appearance, continuity, and watertightness.
- Test welded seams using appropriate non-destructive testing methods and seam-testing equipment.
- Identify welding defects, open seams, weak joints, punctures, wrinkles, and other liner damage.
- Repair defective seams, punctures, wrinkles, and other damaged sections of the liner.
- Ensure repaired areas are properly tested and meet project requirements.
- Follow liner manufacturer’s welding specifications and approved installation procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of trial welds, seam tests, repairs, and completed installation work.
- Ensure all welding surfaces remain clean, dry, and correctly prepared.
- Maintain welding machines, generators, tools, and testing equipment in good working condition.
- Ensure welding equipment and tools are clean, properly calibrated, and ready for use.
- Safely operate welding equipment, generators, hand tools, and other site equipment.
- Work safely on lagoon slopes and around machinery, welding equipment, generators, and construction activities.
- Follow proper manual-handling procedures when moving and deploying liner materials.
- Coordinate with the site supervisor, geomembrane installation team, and other contractors to complete work according to schedule.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working area throughout the project.
- Follow all site-specific health and safety procedures, risk assessments, and work instructions.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Report unsafe conditions, liner damage, equipment problems, failed welds, and other installation concerns to the supervisor.
- Perform other geomembrane installation, welding, testing, and repair duties assigned by management.
