Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Must be a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Cost Accountant, as specified by the employer.
• Verifiable experience in collections, Australian fintech, or financial services.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly PivotTables, XLOOKUP, data validation, and IF statements.
• Experience working with large datasets, multiple systems, and structured reporting processes.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in handling financial information.
• Good analytical, numerical, problem-solving, and data management skills.
• Ability to identify discrepancies and maintain reliable financial records.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and reporting deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with team members and management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High standards of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism when handling financial records.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, accounts, and bookkeeping documentation.
• Record and monitor financial transactions, including payments, receipts, collections, and account adjustments.
• Assist in preparing financial reports, account summaries, and other management reports.
• Monitor outstanding balances, track collections, and follow up on overdue accounts when required.
• Review financial data to identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, and potential errors.
• Reconcile financial records and account balances against supporting documents and system reports.
• Use Microsoft Excel to organize, analyze, validate, and report large volumes of financial data.
• Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets using PivotTables, XLOOKUP, IF statements, and data validation.
• Perform data matching, cross-checking, and verification to maintain the accuracy of financial information.
• Manage bookkeeping data across various financial systems and reporting platforms.
• Maintain organized digital records and ensure supporting documents are properly filed and accessible.
• Assist with monitoring accounts receivable, collections performance, and related financial activities.
• Prepare data for internal reporting, financial reviews, and management decision-making.
• Identify opportunities to improve bookkeeping workflows, data accuracy, and reporting efficiency.
• Follow established accounting procedures, internal controls, confidentiality requirements, and company policies.
• Coordinate with finance personnel, management, and relevant departments to resolve accounting and reporting issues.
• Handle sensitive financial information with professionalism, accuracy, and discretion.
• Perform other bookkeeping, accounting, and financial reporting duties as assigned.
