KBR Services LLC is seeking an experienced Electrical Workshop Technician to support maintenance and fabrication operations in oil and gas or heavy industrial plant environments in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, wiring, testing, and maintaining electrical control panels and distribution boards while ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

ELECTRICAL WORKSHOP TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience as an Electrical Workshop Technician.
• Must have experience working in an Oil & Gas or Heavy Industrial Plant.
• Must have proven experience in electrical panel assembly and wiring.
• Bachelor’s/College Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of electrical control panels, distribution boards, wiring systems, and electrical components.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Skilled in electrical testing, troubleshooting, and quality inspection.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Build, assemble, wire, and test electrical control panels and distribution boards based on engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
• Perform panel wiring, cable termination, and installation of electrical components such as breakers, relays, contactors, PLC interfaces, and terminal blocks.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Conduct functional testing, continuity testing, insulation resistance testing, and quality inspections on completed panels.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical panel faults, wiring defects, and component failures.
• Ensure all electrical connections comply with engineering specifications, company standards, and applicable electrical codes.
• Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and testing instruments in good working condition.
• Organize materials and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workshop environment.
• Prepare maintenance records, test reports, and documentation for completed work.
• Follow company policies and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements at all times.
