Cygnet Bay Sales Pty Ltd is offering an overseas employment opportunity for qualified applicants seeking a Handyperson position in Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining hotel buildings, gardens, outdoor facilities, and equipment to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests and staff.

HANDYPERSON

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience is required.
• Candidates must be at least graduates of a four-year undergraduate course.
• High school graduates must be willing to take the IELTS or PTE English proficiency test.
• Experience in hotel, resort, or hospitality property maintenance is an advantage.
• Experience working in remote or regional hospitality operations is preferred.
• Must have practical skills in general building repairs, painting, landscaping, and preventive maintenance.
• Familiarity with basic electrical and plumbing systems is an advantage.
• Knowledge of air-conditioning filter cleaning, garden maintenance, and irrigation or reticulation systems is beneficial.
• Must be physically capable of performing general maintenance and outdoor tasks.
• Must be responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Must be willing and qualified to work in Australia, subject to applicable employment and visa requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and tidy hotel grounds, gardens, and outdoor facilities.
• Repair broken windows, screens, doors, fences, barbecues, picnic tables, shelves, cupboards, and other fixtures as required.
• Replace defective items, including light bulbs, tap washers, and damaged fittings.
• Repair and paint interior and exterior surfaces, including walls, ceilings, and fences.
• Perform general repairs and preventive maintenance on hotel buildings, facilities, and equipment.
• Remove rubbish, debris, and fallen leaves from driveways, pathways, and communal areas.
• Mow lawns, cultivate gardens, water plants, and maintain landscaped areas.
• Perform landscaping and reticulation system installation and repairs, as required.
• Clean air-conditioning filters and carry out general air-conditioning maintenance.
• Adjust doors and windows to ensure proper alignment and operation.
• Install handrails and grab rails to improve guest accessibility and safety.
• Assist with waste management, recycling, and the safe disposal of materials.
• Identify maintenance issues and report major defects requiring specialized repairs.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures when using tools, equipment, and maintenance materials.
