MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience is required.
  • Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
  • Male applicants are preferred for this role.
  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance, industrial electrical work, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of preventive and corrective electrical maintenance procedures.
  • Able to diagnose electrical faults using testing instruments and electrical diagrams.
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring, cables, connections, panels, switches, circuit breakers, motors, and electrical components.
  • Able to safely use electrical testing instruments, hand tools, and maintenance equipment.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety and safe work practices.
  • Physically capable of performing hands-on electrical maintenance work.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a maintenance and production team.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
  • Perform preventive and corrective electrical maintenance on industrial machinery and production equipment.
  • Conduct routine electrical inspections to identify potential hazards, equipment defects, and signs of electrical failure.
  • Diagnose electrical faults using appropriate testing instruments, meters, and electrical diagrams.
  • Interpret and follow electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and technical instructions.
  • Repair or replace defective electrical components, wiring, cables, terminals, connections, and related parts.
  • Inspect electrical panels, switches, circuit breakers, control systems, motors, and other electrical equipment.
  • Test electrical circuits and components to identify faults and verify proper operation after repairs.
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems and determine appropriate repair methods.
  • Perform electrical connections, adjustments, and component replacements safely and correctly.
  • Monitor electrical equipment performance and identify potential problems before major breakdowns occur.
  • Assist with equipment installation, modification, relocation, and electrical upgrade activities when required.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance according to established schedules and manufacturer recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate records of electrical inspections, repairs, maintenance activities, and replaced components.
  • Report major electrical faults, recurring problems, safety hazards, and equipment conditions to the supervisor.
  • Coordinate with mechanical and other maintenance personnel when electrical and mechanical systems require joint troubleshooting.
  • Ensure electrical tools, testing instruments, and maintenance equipment are properly used and maintained.
  • Follow proper lockout/tagout and electrical isolation procedures where applicable.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe electrical maintenance work area.
  • Follow company electrical safety procedures, occupational health and safety requirements, and PPE standards.
  • Handle electrical components, tools, cables, and equipment safely and properly.
  • Assist during scheduled shutdowns, equipment inspections, and major maintenance activities.
  • Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns and urgent maintenance requirements.
  • Perform other electrical maintenance duties assigned by management.
