ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN (CATEGORY B)

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience.
  • Must have maintenance experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Fertilizer, or Power Plant facilities.
  • No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
  • Male applicants are preferred for this role.
  • Strong practical experience in industrial electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of HV/MV/LV transformers, switchboards, switchgear, cables, and cable terminations.
  • Experience maintaining MV/LV MCCs and motors.
  • Knowledge and practical experience with PLC, VFD, and UPS systems.
  • Experience in the maintenance of lighting, Cathodic Protection (CP), hoists, and flare electrical systems.
  • Ability to diagnose electrical faults and perform appropriate corrective maintenance.
  • Knowledge of electrical testing, inspection, isolation, and safe maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, schematics, equipment manuals, and technical instructions.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on electrical maintenance work in demanding industrial environments.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Reliable, disciplined, safety-conscious, and committed to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
  • Carry out electrical maintenance and modification work in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Fertilizer, or Power Plant facilities.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot HV, MV, and LV power and distribution transformers.
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair HV/MV/LV switchboards and switchgear.
  • Perform maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of HV/MV/LV cables and cable terminations.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot MV/LV Motor Control Centers (MCCs).
  • Maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot MV/LV motors and associated electrical components.
  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) and associated control systems.
  • Perform maintenance and inspection of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot industrial and facility lighting systems.
  • Perform inspection and maintenance of Cathodic Protection (CP) systems.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems associated with hoists.
  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of the electrical systems of flares.
  • Conduct electrical inspections, testing, and fault diagnosis to identify equipment problems.
  • Perform electrical modifications and component replacement according to approved technical procedures.
  • Check electrical connections, cables, terminations, panels, protective devices, and control circuits for defects.
  • Use appropriate electrical testing instruments and maintenance tools safely and correctly.
  • Follow approved maintenance procedures, technical drawings, equipment specifications, and work instructions.
  • Apply appropriate isolation and electrical safety procedures before starting maintenance activities.
  • Comply with HSEQ requirements, permit-to-work systems, and industrial electrical safety standards.
  • Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, operators, and other maintenance personnel during maintenance and shutdown activities.
  • Document completed maintenance, inspections, testing, repairs, and equipment conditions.
  • Report electrical faults, equipment abnormalities, safety hazards, and required corrective actions to supervisors.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
  • Perform other electrical maintenance and modification duties assigned by management.
