KBR Services LLC is seeking an experienced NDT Technician to support inspection and maintenance activities in oil and gas, petrochemical, and fertilizer plant environments in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing non-destructive testing (NDT) on materials, welds, piping, pressure equipment, and structures to detect defects and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety requirements.
NDT TECHNICIAN
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience as an NDT Technician.
- Must have experience working in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Fertilizer plants.
- No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
- Strong knowledge of NDT inspection methods, equipment, and quality control procedures.
- Experience performing inspections on industrial equipment, piping, pressure vessels, and welded structures.
- Ability to analyze inspection data and prepare accurate technical reports.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Relevant NDT certifications (e.g., ASNT Level II or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Willing to work in Qatar and comply with company and project requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspections on materials, welds, pressure vessels, piping systems, tanks, and structural components.
- Inspect equipment for hidden flaws, corrosion, cracks, fatigue, and other defects without causing damage to the tested materials.
- Set up, calibrate, and operate NDT equipment in accordance with approved procedures.
- Conduct NDT methods such as Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Radiographic Testing (RT/X-ray), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), and Visual Testing (VT) as required.
- Analyze inspection results and accurately interpret test data.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and document findings, observations, and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry codes, client specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with engineers, quality inspectors, and maintenance teams regarding inspection results and corrective actions.
- Maintain NDT equipment and ensure proper calibration and operational readiness.
- Follow company policies and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures at all times.
