FINANCE MANAGER

Qualifications:

• Must be a member of a professional Institute of Accountants, recognised by the Certified Practising Accountants of PNG.
• Preferably 8 Year(s) hands on experience working with ERP systems and knowledge of PRONTO will be an added advantage
• Initiative – typically work independently and should take the initiative and make decisions
• Judgment – the ability to think objectively, have strong ethical standards, as well as high levels of integrity to adhere to regulations and compliance are necessary.
• Organization skills – need to be incredibly organized and be able to prioritize their workload, as well as be resilient and calm under pressure

Responsibilities: 

• Review and ensure supplier statement reconciliations are completed up to-date.
• Review AP and AR ageing and to follow-up on the settlement of overdue
• Liaison and managing the external audits of the company.
• Review and ensure clearing accounts, bank reconciliations and inter-co accounts are reconciled and cleared monthly.
• Closing of monthly accounts and roll over of ledgers.
• Preparation of financial budgets, forecasts and projections of the company.
• Preparation of monthly financial reports with financial analysis (actual vs. budget and key performance indicators which may facilitate some
• form of benchmarking amount the group of companies) highlighting areas of concern for Management Team.
  Initiate process, quality of information and internal control improvements.
• Monitor, manage and reconcile tax filings with IRC (income tax, GST, withholding tax, wages tax & etc.).
• Monitor and manage IPA filings and matters.
