TIG WELDER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience is required.
• Must be at least a high school graduate.
• Must have completed a technical training program in welding or a related trade.
• Skilled in TIG/GTAW welding and equipment setup.
• Experience working with stainless steel, aluminum, carbon steel, or specialized alloys is an advantage.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding symbols.
• Knowledge of welding parameters, material preparation, and weld quality inspection.
• Strong attention to detail and precision workmanship.
• Physically fit and capable of performing welding and fabrication duties.
• Safety-conscious and able to follow strict industrial safety procedures.
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate TIG/GTAW welding machines according to the material and welding requirements.
• Adjust shielding gas flow, amperage, power settings, and other welding parameters as required.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, welding symbols, and technical specifications.
• Prepare, clean, measure, fit, and position metal components before welding.
• Perform precision TIG welding on stainless steel, aluminum, carbon steel, and other alloys.
• Maintain proper welding technique and control heat input to achieve high-quality welds.
• Inspect completed welds for cracks, porosity, undercut, incomplete fusion, and other defects.
• Grind, clean, and finish welded surfaces as required.
• Identify welding defects and perform corrective welding or finishing work.
• Maintain welding machines, torches, cables, tools, and related equipment in good working condition.
• Follow approved welding procedures, quality standards, and workplace safety requirements.
• Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Report equipment problems, material defects, and quality concerns to the supervisor.
• Perform other TIG welding and fabrication duties as assigned.
