BARISTA

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience.
• At least a high school graduate.
• Previous experience as a Barista in a restaurant, café, hotel, coffee shop, or similar establishment.
• Knowledge of coffee preparation, espresso-based beverages, tea, and other hot and cold drinks.
• Able to operate espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other beverage equipment.
• Knowledge of proper coffee grinding, brewing, beverage preparation, and presentation.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent beverage quality.
• Knowledge of proper hygiene, sanitation, and safe food and beverage handling.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced food and beverage environment.
• Physically fit and capable of standing and working for extended periods.
• Good teamwork, organization, and time-management skills.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based drinks, tea, and other hot and cold beverages.
• Operate espresso machines, coffee grinders, blenders, and other beverage preparation equipment safely and correctly.
• Grind coffee beans and adjust grinding and brewing settings according to beverage quality standards.
• Prepare beverages according to established recipes, customer orders, and service standards.
• Maintain consistent taste, quality, temperature, portioning, and presentation of beverages.
• Take customer orders accurately and process payments correctly when required.
• Provide friendly, courteous, and efficient customer service.
• Answer customer questions about beverages and assist with drink selections when requested.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station throughout the shift.
• Clean and sanitize cups, utensils, espresso machines, grinders, blenders, counters, and other work surfaces.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic care of beverage equipment according to workplace procedures.
• Check the availability and quality of coffee beans, milk, syrups, tea, ice, cups, and other ingredients.
• Maintain adequate supplies at the beverage station and replenish ingredients as needed.
• Properly store coffee, milk, syrups, and other beverage ingredients.
• Monitor inventory and report shortages, damaged supplies, or equipment problems to the supervisor.
• Follow proper hygiene, sanitation, food safety, and workplace safety procedures.
• Minimize beverage waste through proper preparation, portioning, and storage.
• Coordinate with servers, kitchen staff, supervisors, and other restaurant personnel to ensure smooth service.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance throughout the shift.
• Perform other beverage preparation and coffee station duties as assigned.
