Workforce Abundance Pty Ltd is seeking qualified and experienced Bricklayers / Stonemasons to work in Australia. The successful candidates will be responsible for constructing, repairing, restoring, and finishing brick and stone structures in residential and commercial projects while maintaining high standards of workmanship, accuracy, safety, and quality. Experience in heritage restoration is highly desirable.

BRICKLAYER / STONEMASON

Qualifications:

• Recognised Bricklaying or Stonemasonry Trade Certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Bricklayer and/or Stonemason.
• Experience working on residential and commercial construction projects.
• Experience in heritage restoration work is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of bricklaying, stonemasonry, mortar preparation, masonry finishing, and repair techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, specifications, and measurements.
• Skilled in using masonry hand tools, power tools, cutting equipment, and other construction equipment.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, alignment, and quality workmanship.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual construction work, including lifting, bending, standing, and working at heights where required.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work effectively independently and as part of a construction team.
• Ability to provide all required documents to meet Australian migration eligibility criteria.

Responsibilities:

• Lay bricks, blocks, natural stone, and other masonry materials according to project specifications and construction plans.
• Construct and repair walls, facades, foundations, partitions, fireplaces, pathways, retaining walls, and other masonry structures.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications, and measurements.
• Measure, mark, level, align, and prepare work areas before masonry installation.
• Mix and prepare mortar, cement, grout, and other masonry materials.
• Select and prepare appropriate bricks, stones, blocks, and related construction materials.
• Cut, shape, and finish bricks and stones using appropriate hand and power tools.
• Ensure masonry work is properly aligned, level, plumb, and accurately positioned.
• Repair damaged, cracked, or deteriorated brick and stone structures.
• Perform repointing, joint finishing, surface preparation, and other masonry restoration work.
• Carry out heritage restoration and conservation work where required, using appropriate traditional and modern masonry techniques.
• Work on both residential and commercial construction projects.
• Follow project schedules and complete assigned masonry work within required timeframes.
• Inspect completed work to ensure proper finish, structural quality, and compliance with project requirements.
• Maintain tools, equipment, materials, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
• Follow Australian workplace health and safety requirements and safe work procedures.
• Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow site safety instructions.
• Work cooperatively with builders, supervisors, carpenters, other tradespeople, and construction workers.
• Identify and report material, structural, or workmanship issues to supervisors.
• Minimize material waste through accurate measurement, cutting, and preparation.
• Perform other bricklaying, stonemasonry, repair, restoration, and construction duties as assigned.
