OWS Automotive is seeking a highly experienced and dependable Senior Automotive Mechanic to lead complex vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting advanced mechanical issues, overseeing repair quality, mentoring junior mechanics, and ensuring workshop operations meet the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Senior Automotive Mechanic

Qualifications:

• Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in automotive maintenance and repair with strong troubleshooting expertise.
• Proven leadership experience supervising or mentoring automotive technicians is highly preferred.
• Vocational training or an Associate Degree in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related mechanical field.
• TESDA NC II Certification in Automotive Servicing or an equivalent qualification is required.
• Strong knowledge of automotive engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, braking, cooling, and electrical support systems.
• Highly skilled in using automotive diagnostic scanners, testing equipment, and specialized workshop tools.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making abilities.
• Good communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Physically fit and capable of performing demanding workshop duties.
• Able to work independently and lead a team in a fast-paced service environment.
• Willing to work in the United Arab Emirates under the employer’s policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex mechanical faults in gasoline and diesel vehicles.
• Perform advanced preventive maintenance and major mechanical overhauls on engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, braking, cooling, and drivetrain systems.
• Lead and supervise workshop activities, ensuring repairs are completed accurately and within scheduled timelines.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and on-the-job training to junior mechanics and apprentices.
• Use computerized diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical and electronic vehicle issues.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications.
• Conduct final inspections and road tests to verify repair quality and vehicle performance.
• Recommend repair solutions and preventive maintenance strategies to minimize repeat failures.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of workshop tools, diagnostic equipment, and service facilities.
• Maintain accurate repair records, inspection reports, and maintenance documentation.
• Enforce workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations within the workshop.
• Coordinate with service advisors, parts personnel, and workshop management to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
• Perform other senior mechanical and supervisory duties assigned by management.
