ELECTRICIAN

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as an Electrician.
• Male applicants are preferred.
• No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
• Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, electrical components, and safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Experience using electrical testing and measuring instruments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of preventive electrical maintenance procedures.
• Physically fit and capable of performing electrical installation and maintenance work.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Valid electrical competency certificate or license is preferred, where applicable.
• Reliable, responsible, and committed to following safety procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and control systems.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, layouts, and technical specifications.
• Install and connect electrical panels, lighting fixtures, switches, sockets, outlets, and other electrical components.
• Diagnose electrical faults and perform troubleshooting and necessary repairs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and inspection of electrical systems and equipment.
• Perform electrical testing to ensure systems and equipment operate safely and properly.
• Use electrical testing and measuring instruments to identify faults and verify system performance.
• Inspect wiring, connections, circuits, panels, and electrical components for defects or potential hazards.
• Replace damaged or defective electrical components when required.
• Ensure electrical installations comply with applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
• Maintain electrical tools, testing equipment, and work materials in good condition.
• Keep accurate records of inspections, maintenance, testing, and repair activities.
• Report electrical defects, safety hazards, equipment problems, and required repairs to the supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow proper lockout/tagout and other applicable electrical safety procedures.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, technicians, and other trades during installation and maintenance activities.
• Perform other electrical maintenance duties as assigned.
