Orthodoxou Employment Bureau is seeking qualified and experienced Spray Applied Waterproofing Applicators to work in Cyprus. The successful candidates will be responsible for applying spray-applied waterproofing systems, including polyurea, polyurethane (PU), and Pitchmastic BlueShield PmB systems, while ensuring proper surface preparation, high-quality application, leak prevention, and compliance with workplace safety standards.

Spray Applied Waterproofing Applicator

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in spray-applied waterproofing, polyurea, polyurethane (PU), or Pitchmastic BlueShield PmB systems.
  • Practical experience in applying spray-applied waterproofing systems to high-quality and safety standards.
  • Knowledge of proper surface and substrate preparation before waterproofing application.
  • Experience with moulding/application work, including UV protective coatings and quartz sand finishes, when required.
  • Ability to inspect completed waterproofing work and identify leaks, defects, and application problems.
  • Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot spray application equipment.
  • Good understanding of waterproofing materials, application methods, and quality requirements.
  • Ability to manage materials, equipment, tools, and manpower efficiently.
  • Ability to work effectively with Site Engineers, Project Managers, supervisors, and other site personnel.
  • At least a high school diploma.
  • Valid driver’s license (Code B).
  • Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on waterproofing and construction-site work.
  • Must have a newly renewed passport.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply spray-applied waterproofing systems according to project specifications and manufacturer requirements.
  • Work with waterproofing systems such as polyurea, polyurethane (PU), and Pitchmastic BlueShield PmB.
  • Prepare concrete, metal, and other substrates before waterproofing application.
  • Clean, repair, and prepare surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of waterproofing materials.
  • Inspect substrates for cracks, moisture, contamination, uneven surfaces, and other conditions that may affect application quality.
  • Perform spray application and moulding work according to approved methods and specifications.
  • Apply UV protective coatings and quartz sand finishes when required by the project.
  • Maintain consistent coating thickness, coverage, finish, and overall application quality.
  • Inspect completed waterproofing work to ensure surfaces are properly sealed and free from leaks, defects, pinholes, or other application problems.
  • Conduct testing and corrective work when waterproofing defects or leaks are identified.
  • Operate spray application machines, pumps, hoses, compressors, and related equipment safely and correctly.
  • Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of spray application equipment.
  • Identify equipment malfunctions and coordinate necessary repairs or technical support.
  • Properly mix, prepare, and handle waterproofing materials according to product specifications.
  • Monitor material consumption and minimize waste during waterproofing operations.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and use of waterproofing chemicals and materials.
  • Follow required safety procedures when working with chemicals, spray equipment, and protective coatings.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure safe working practices at the job site.
  • Manage assigned materials, equipment, tools, and manpower efficiently.
  • Coordinate with Site Engineers, Project Managers, supervisors, and other site personnel to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Follow project schedules, technical instructions, drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials used, work completed, equipment condition, and other project information.
  • Complete required project reports, company forms, checklists, and other documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout waterproofing operations.
  • Perform other waterproofing and site-related duties assigned by management.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary starts at €1,250 gross monthly.
  • Forty-two (44) working hours / Six (6) days a week.
  • Accommodation will be provided.
  • Contract duration is for 2 years.
