AIRCON TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in AC installation, servicing, and maintenance.
• Male applicants are preferred.
• No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
• Minimum HNTEC, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Air-Conditioning, Refrigeration, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of air-conditioning systems and troubleshooting.
• Experience in preventive and corrective AC maintenance.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical components of air-conditioning systems.
• Familiarity with refrigerant charging and basic leak detection procedures.
• Ability to diagnose and repair common AC system faults.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and capable of working at different sites.
• Willing to work overtime when required.
• Good safety awareness and responsible work attitude.
• Reliable, hardworking, and technically competent.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair air-conditioning systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on AC units and related equipment.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in air-conditioning systems.
• Conduct regular servicing, cleaning, inspection, and maintenance of AC equipment.
• Remove, clean, replace, and repair air-conditioning components when necessary.
• Check refrigerant levels and perform refrigerant charging when required.
• Detect and address refrigerant leaks and other system problems.
• Inspect compressors, motors, fans, coils, filters, thermostats, controls, and other AC components.
• Conduct testing and operational checks to ensure systems are functioning properly.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and maintenance requests.
• Troubleshoot AC performance issues and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of servicing, repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
• Use hand tools, power tools, testing instruments, and service equipment safely.
• Follow company safety procedures, site requirements, and proper refrigerant-handling practices.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other technicians during maintenance activities.
• Perform other air-conditioning and maintenance duties as assigned.
