WELDER

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience as a Welder.
• Male applicants are preferred.
• No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
• Certificate or vocational qualification in Welding or a related trade is preferred.
• Valid welding certification is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication and welding drawings.
• Knowledge of welding techniques, metal materials, welding consumables, and fabrication procedures.
• Strong understanding of welding safety practices and workplace hazards.
• Ability to inspect weld quality and perform necessary repairs.
• Physically fit and capable of working in construction or industrial environments.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret welding drawings, fabrication plans, and technical specifications.
• Prepare, measure, cut, fit, and align metal materials before welding.
• Perform welding and fabrication work according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Select appropriate welding techniques, equipment, materials, and consumables for each job.
• Set up and operate welding machines and related tools safely.
• Ensure proper alignment, dimensions, weld size, and positioning of fabricated components.
• Inspect completed welds for cracks, porosity, incomplete fusion, distortion, and other defects.
• Perform grinding, cleaning, repair, and re-welding when necessary.
• Maintain welding machines, tools, cables, gas equipment, and other welding accessories.
• Identify equipment problems and report defects or maintenance requirements to the supervisor.
• Follow approved welding procedures and applicable industry standards.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow company health and safety procedures and site requirements.
• Coordinate with fitters, fabricators, supervisors, and other workers to complete assigned projects.
• Perform other welding and fabrication duties as assigned.
