Job Location: Brunei
SEC Mashibah Sdn Bhd is seeking experienced and skilled Pipefitters to support industrial piping and mechanical installation projects in Brunei. The successful candidates will install, assemble, repair, and test piping systems according to engineering drawings and project specifications. Applicants with at least 5 years of pipe fitting or industrial piping experience and relevant technical training are encouraged to apply.
PIPEFITTER
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in pipe fitting or industrial piping.
- Male applicants are preferred.
- No minimum educational attainment is required for the position.
- Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Pipe Fitting, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in industrial piping installation, assembly, maintenance, and repair.
- Ability to read and interpret piping and isometric drawings.
- Knowledge of various pipe materials, fittings, valves, flanges, and supports.
- Ability to use measuring tools, hand tools, and pipe-fitting equipment.
- Knowledge of pressure and leak testing procedures.
- Physically fit and capable of performing demanding industrial work.
- Able to work at heights and in confined spaces when required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Install and assemble piping systems according to engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Read and interpret isometric drawings, piping layouts, and engineering plans.
- Measure, mark, cut, thread, bend, and fit pipes using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Install valves, flanges, pipe supports, fittings, and other piping components.
- Align and assemble piping sections to ensure proper fit and positioning.
- Perform pressure testing and leak testing of installed piping systems.
- Identify and repair leaks, damaged components, and piping defects.
- Use measuring instruments and hand and power tools safely and accurately.
- Work with different types of pipe materials and fittings according to project requirements.
- Inspect completed piping installations for accuracy, alignment, and quality.
- Follow approved installation procedures and technical specifications.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and keep the work area clean and organized.
- Follow all workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work safely at heights and in confined spaces when required.
- Coordinate with welders, mechanical workers, engineers, supervisors, and other tradespeople.
- Report technical issues, material requirements, and safety concerns to supervisors.
- Perform other pipe fitting and mechanical installation duties as assigned.
