GLAZE PREPARATION FOREMAN (CERAMICS)
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- 5–7 years of experience in the ceramic tiles manufacturing industry, particularly in glaze preparation or glaze mixing operations.
- Proven experience supervising glaze mixing, ball mill operations, chemical preparation, and glaze production.
- Knowledge of ceramic glaze raw materials, stains, chemicals, grinding processes, and liquid glaze preparation.
- Experience supervising technicians and machine operators in a manufacturing environment.
- Good understanding of production procedures, quality standards, and chemical safety.
- Good English communication skills.
- Must possess a valid passport.
- Physically fit and able to work in a ceramic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the glaze mixing department in a ceramic tiles manufacturing facility.
- Check the availability of glaze raw materials, stains, chemicals, and other production materials based on the production program and instructions from the GPS team leader.
- Monitor and maintain the required pebble levels and appropriate grinding time for ball mills to ensure efficient and consistent glaze production.
- Oversee the mixing, testing, preparation, and distribution of liquid glazes used for ceramic tiles and other ceramic products.
- Supervise technicians and machine operators involved in glaze preparation and production activities.
- Ensure glaze batches are accurately prepared according to approved formulas, standard operating procedures, quality requirements, and production schedules.
- Monitor glaze consistency, color, quality, and other required specifications and coordinate necessary adjustments when needed.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and use of chemicals and raw materials.
- Enforce workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures within the glaze mixing area.
- Monitor equipment and production processes and report mechanical or operational issues to the appropriate department.
- Maintain accurate production, material usage, testing, and batch records.
- Coordinate with production, quality control, and other departments to ensure smooth and continuous glaze production.
