Quantity Surveyor
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction, infrastructure, or highway projects.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, cost estimation, contract administration, and project cost control.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and quantity surveying software.
- Familiarity with FIDIC contracts, project specifications, and commercial documentation is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and quantity take-offs based on engineering drawings and project specifications.
- Measure and evaluate quantities for civil, structural, architectural, and infrastructure works.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, and expenditures to ensure financial control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review and evaluate project variations, change orders, claims, and additional works.
- Prepare interim payment applications, progress billings, subcontractor valuations, and final accounts.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and clients regarding commercial and contractual matters.
- Analyze tender documents, specifications, and contracts to identify project cost requirements and risks.
- Prepare material quantity schedules and support procurement activities by verifying material requirements.
- Maintain accurate cost reports, quantity records, and commercial documentation.
- Assist in contract administration and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project specifications.
- Support value engineering initiatives by identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and applicable construction regulations.
- Perform other quantity surveying and commercial duties assigned by management.
