Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience is required.
- At least a High School Graduate.
- Proven professional experience as a Jeweler, Goldsmith, or Jewelry Repair Artisan.
- Strong practical knowledge of precious metals and their properties.
- Strong skills in soldering, assembly, resizing, and precision repair.
- Strong understanding of jewelry construction, fabrication, repair, and finishing.
- Proven experience in fine jewelry repair, restoration, and alteration.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow technical repair instructions, specifications, and work orders.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and precision when working with small and delicate jewelry components.
- Ability to work carefully with high-value jewelry and precious metals.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to identify structural, functional, and cosmetic defects in jewelry.
- Knowledge of jewelry finishing and polishing techniques.
- Experience with laser welding, stone setting, fabrication, or enameling is an advantage.
- Relevant jewelry-making, goldsmithing, watchmaking, or technical training is an advantage.
- Responsible, patient, meticulous, and capable of meeting quality and production requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Perform professional jewelry repair, restoration, alteration, and modification according to specifications.
- Work with gold, silver, platinum, and other precious metals using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Perform precision soldering, assembly, resizing, and repair of fine jewelry.
- Repair rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, chains, and other jewelry pieces.
- Resize rings and other jewelry items while maintaining their original shape, proportions, and design.
- Disassemble and reassemble jewelry components carefully during repair and restoration work.
- Repair broken, damaged, worn, or defective jewelry components.
- Perform precision joining and soldering while minimizing visible marks and damage.
- Apply appropriate finishing techniques after repairs to restore the original appearance of jewelry.
- Inspect jewelry before and after repair to ensure proper alignment, structural integrity, and workmanship.
- Follow technical repair instructions, drawings, specifications, and work orders accurately.
- Assess damaged jewelry and determine appropriate repair or restoration methods.
- Handle delicate and high-value jewelry pieces with care to prevent damage or loss.
- Use jewelry-making and repair tools, equipment, measuring instruments, and other specialized tools safely and correctly.
- Maintain accuracy when working on small components and intricate jewelry designs.
- Coordinate with supervisors, jewelry designers, polishers, stone setters, and other workshop personnel as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Properly maintain and store jewelry tools and equipment.
- Follow quality-control procedures to ensure finished pieces meet professional jewelry standards.
- Minimize material waste while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
- Perform other jewelry repair, goldsmithing, fabrication, and finishing duties assigned by management.
