PP Thermoforming Machine Operator

Qualifications:

  • Diploma degree, ITI or equivalent technical qualification
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience operating plastic thermoforming machines.
  • Experience with thermoforming PP, PS, HIPS, PET, or similar plastic materials is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of thermoforming processes, including sheet feeding, heating, forming, trimming, and stacking.
  • Experience in machine setup, mould change, and parameter adjustment.
  • Knowledge of basic plastic material handling and product quality requirements
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot common thermoforming machine and product defects
  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills
  • Basic English communication skills.
  • Ability to read and follow production and quality instructions.
  • Physically fit and able to work in a production environment
  • Ability to work shifts and meet production targets

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and set up thermoforming machines for the production of plastic trays / lunch boxes and other formed products
  • Load and feed plastic sheets/rolls into the thermoforming machine according to production requirements
  • Set and adjust machine parameters such as heating temperature, forming pressure/vacuum, cycle time, and cutting conditions.
  • Monitor product dimensions, weight, appearance, forming quality, and overall product specifications.
  • Ensure proper forming, trimming, stacking, and product handling throughout the production process.
  • Perform mould changes and machine adjustments as required.
  • Identify and correct common thermoforming defects such as deformation, uneven forming, thickness variation, cracks, webbing, and improper
    cutting
  • Conduct routine machine cleaning, basic troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
  • Monitor production output, material consumption, and machine performance
  • Follow approved work instructions, quality standards, safety procedures, and production plans.
  • Record production data and report any production, quality, or machine-related issues to the supervisor
  • Ensure proper documentation and follow-up of production activities, production trials, machine issues, and corrective actions
