Nursing Assistant

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience is required.
• Bachelor’s / College Degree holder in Nursing, Allied Health, or similar fields.
• Female applicants are preferred for this role.
• Knowledge of basic healthcare and nursing assistance procedures.
• Ability to monitor and accurately record vital signs.
• Knowledge of medication administration or medication-reminder procedures, as applicable to the assigned role.
• Ability to recognize and promptly report changes in a client’s health condition.
• Experience providing companionship, emotional support, and assistance with daily activities.
• Strong observation, communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient, trustworthy, and respectful when dealing with clients.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect client privacy and dignity.
• Physically capable of assisting clients with mobility and other routine care activities.
• Ability to follow care plans, instructions, safety procedures, and professional healthcare standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with daily healthcare and supportive care needs according to established care plans.
• Administer or provide medication reminders as directed and in accordance with applicable care procedures.
• Monitor and record clients’ vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and other assigned observations.
• Observe clients for changes in health, behavior, physical condition, or overall well-being.
• Promptly report significant health changes, unusual symptoms, or concerns to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
• Assist clients with personal care and activities of daily living as required.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Engage clients in appropriate activities, conversation, recreation, and social interaction.
• Promote a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for clients.
• Assist with mobility and transfers when required, using appropriate safety techniques.
• Support clients in maintaining personal hygiene, comfort, and dignity.
• Observe and follow instructions provided by nurses, healthcare professionals, and supervisors.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided, client progress, vital signs, medication reminders, and health observations.
• Document changes in the client’s health status and communicate relevant information to the care team.
• Maintain confidentiality and respect clients’ privacy and personal information.
• Follow infection-control, hygiene, health, and workplace safety procedures.
• Maintain clean and orderly client care areas and properly handle care equipment and supplies.
• Communicate respectfully with clients, family members, nurses, and other healthcare personnel.
• Provide assistance in private homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals, or other assigned care settings.
• Perform other nursing assistance, caregiving, and client-support duties assigned by the employer.
