OPERATIONS MANAGER

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience is required.
• Bachelor’s / College Degree holder in Business Studies, Administration, Management, or similar fields.
• Previous experience working in the LPG industry is required.
• Previous experience in LPG operations, cylinder filling, cylinder testing, distribution, or related activities is highly relevant.
• Strong knowledge of LPG handling, storage, filling, testing, transportation, and delivery operations.
• Experience developing, documenting, implementing, and maintaining safety management systems.
• Previous experience working with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards, with the ability to interpret and implement operational requirements.
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements and risk management.
• Experience conducting or managing operational audits and following up on audit findings.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must hold a current and valid Forklift Ticket.
• Strong leadership, supervision, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage operational activities safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail, accountability, and commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work effectively with employees, customers, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the safe, efficient, and reliable delivery of LPG to domestic and commercial customers.
• Manage daily LPG operations to ensure customer requirements are met safely and efficiently.
• Lead and supervise the safe filling, handling, testing, storage, and distribution of LPG cylinders.
• Ensure LPG cylinders are properly inspected and tested before being released for use or distribution.
• Oversee the testing and inspection of gas cylinders in accordance with applicable requirements and safety standards.
• Supervise the loading and unloading of LPG tankers and ensure safe handling procedures are followed.
• Coordinate tanker movements, LPG deliveries, cylinder handling, and other operational activities.
• Develop, document, implement, and maintain the company’s Safety Management System.
• Ensure employees understand and comply with established safety procedures and operational controls.
• Monitor workplace safety and identify potential hazards associated with LPG handling, cylinder filling, transportation, and storage.
• Investigate operational incidents, near misses, and safety concerns and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Ensure operations comply with applicable legislation, regulations, codes, and industry standards.
• Interpret relevant legislation and industry requirements and translate them into practical operational procedures.
• Conduct regular operational inspections and ensure identified issues are properly addressed.
• Take accountability for the operations audit program, including planning, implementation, documentation, and follow-up of audit findings.
• Maintain accurate operational, safety, inspection, testing, and audit records.
• Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, reliability, and customer service.
• Coordinate with management, drivers, technicians, warehouse personnel, and other operational staff to ensure smooth LPG operations.
• Ensure forklifts, operational equipment, vehicles, and other workplace equipment are used safely and appropriately.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure employees receive appropriate operational and safety guidance.
• Perform other operational and management duties assigned by the company.
