Bitumat Co. Ltd. is seeking an experienced and technically capable Mechanical Engineer (Projects) to plan, coordinate, and supervise mechanical projects within its manufacturing operations in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will oversee equipment installation, modifications, upgrades, technical design, project execution, contractor coordination, and commissioning while ensuring projects are completed according to required quality, safety, cost, and schedule standards.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
- Previous experience in mechanical engineering, industrial projects, manufacturing, plant engineering, or equipment installation is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment, industrial systems, installation, modification, and upgrading projects.
- Ability to interpret and review mechanical drawings, technical specifications, equipment manuals, and engineering documentation.
- Experience in coordinating and supervising contractors, suppliers, technicians, and project teams.
- Knowledge of project execution, equipment installation, testing, commissioning, and handover procedures.
- Strong project planning, coordination, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to monitor project quality, cost, schedule, resources, and technical requirements.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to address technical issues during project execution.
- Good understanding of industrial safety, quality standards, and engineering procedures.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to prepare and maintain technical reports, project records, inspection documentation, and progress updates.
- Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing and industrial environment.
- Physically fit and capable of performing site inspections and supervising project activities.
- Reliable, hardworking, disciplined, and committed to quality, safety, and timely project completion.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise mechanical projects from initial planning through completion and commissioning.
- Develop project plans, work schedules, technical requirements, and execution strategies for mechanical projects.
- Review mechanical designs, drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate the installation, modification, relocation, and upgrading of mechanical equipment and systems.
- Supervise project activities to ensure compliance with approved engineering designs, specifications, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, vendors, consultants, maintenance personnel, and other project stakeholders.
- Monitor contractor performance, work progress, manpower, materials, equipment, and site activities.
- Ensure mechanical installation and construction activities meet required quality standards and engineering specifications.
- Conduct site inspections and verify that completed work complies with approved drawings and technical requirements.
- Assist in identifying technical issues and develop practical engineering solutions during project execution.
- Review equipment and material requirements and coordinate procurement and delivery with relevant departments.
- Monitor project costs, schedules, resources, and progress to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
- Identify potential project risks, delays, technical problems, and resource requirements and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Coordinate equipment testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and handover activities.
- Ensure newly installed or modified equipment operates safely and according to design requirements.
- Prepare and review technical reports, project progress reports, inspection records, and other project documentation.
- Conduct or participate in project meetings with contractors, suppliers, engineers, maintenance teams, and management.
- Ensure proper coordination between mechanical project activities and existing production or plant operations.
- Follow applicable engineering standards, company procedures, quality requirements, and safety regulations.
- Ensure contractors and project personnel comply with site safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Support project closeout activities, including punch-list completion, testing documentation, as-built drawings, and equipment handover.
- Identify opportunities for equipment improvement, process optimization, reliability enhancement, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, technical changes, inspections, approvals, and completed works.
- Perform other mechanical engineering and project-related duties assigned by management.
