Franklin Smith Limited is seeking experienced Plumbers / Drainage Workers to join its team in New Zealand. The successful candidates will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing and drainage systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects while ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and workplace safety regulations.

Plumber / Drainage Worker

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of overseas experience as a Plumber / Drainage Worker or in a similar role.
• Strong technical knowledge and practical trade skills in plumbing and drainage works.
• Ability to read and interpret technical plans, specifications, and safety procedures.
• Good spoken and written English communication skills.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Safety-conscious, reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to producing high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, pipes, and drainage networks.
• Carry out drainage works including installation, repair, and maintenance of underground and above-ground drainage systems.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, plumbing plans, layouts, and project specifications.
• Measure, cut, fit, and connect pipes, fittings, valves, and plumbing components.
• Inspect plumbing and drainage systems to identify leaks, blockages, and repair requirements.
• Perform testing and ensure completed work meets quality and safety standards.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures, technical instructions, and industry regulations.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades to complete projects efficiently.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
