Raumai 18 Co. Ltd. is offering an overseas employment opportunity for qualified applicants interested in working as a Supermarket Manager in Papua New Guinea. The successful candidate will oversee daily supermarket operations, manage employees, monitor inventory, maintain product quality, and ensure excellent customer service.

SUPERMARKET MANAGER

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or relevant qualifications in Sales, Teaching, Training, Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in supermarket management.
• Experience handling fresh and frozen food products, including proper storage, handling, and quality control.
• Proven track record in staff training, coaching, and employee development.
• Proficiency in computer applications and retail management systems.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of inventory control, merchandising, sales monitoring, and supermarket operations.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple operational priorities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily supermarket operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and profitable business activities.
• Supervise, train, and motivate supermarket employees to maintain high standards of productivity and customer service.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop staff and provide ongoing coaching to improve performance.
• Manage inventory levels, stock replenishment, ordering, and product availability.
• Oversee fresh and frozen food sections, ensuring proper storage, handling, temperature control, and product quality.
• Monitor sales performance, review sales reports, and implement strategies to achieve business targets.
• Ensure products are properly displayed, priced, labeled, and arranged according to merchandising standards.
• Monitor cash handling, point-of-sale operations, and daily transactions as required.
• Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and compliance with food safety and workplace safety procedures.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and service issues professionally.
• Control operating expenses, reduce product waste, and support effective inventory management.
• Prepare operational reports and maintain accurate sales, stock, staffing, and performance records.
• Use computer applications and relevant retail systems to support store management and reporting.
• Ensure company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations are followed.
