Bitumat Co. Ltd. is seeking an experienced and technically skilled Mechanical Technician (Maintenance) to support the reliable operation of mechanical equipment and production machinery in its manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnose mechanical faults, carry out repairs, install and align equipment, perform lubrication activities, and help ensure machinery remains safe, efficient, and operational.

Mechanical Technician (Maintenance)

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Previous experience as a Mechanical Technician, Mechanical Maintenance Technician, Industrial Mechanical Technician, or similar position is preferred.
• Practical experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical equipment and production machinery.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Knowledge of industrial machinery, mechanical components, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, valves, and related equipment.
• Experience in equipment installation, dismantling, assembly, lubrication, and alignment.
• Ability to identify mechanical wear, equipment abnormalities, and potential causes of machinery failure.
• Ability to use common mechanical hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance instructions.
• Good understanding of mechanical maintenance, workplace safety, and proper equipment handling.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with maintenance and production teams.
• Physically fit and capable of performing mechanical maintenance duties in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during equipment breakdowns and urgent maintenance requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to equipment safety and performance.
• Reliable, hardworking, disciplined, and willing to follow company procedures and supervisor instructions.
• Passport ready.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment, machinery, and production systems.
• Inspect production machinery and mechanical components to identify wear, damage, leaks, or other potential problems.
• Diagnose mechanical faults, equipment breakdowns, and operational issues.
• Repair, replace, adjust, and maintain defective or worn mechanical components.
• Perform routine maintenance on pumps, motors, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, valves, and other mechanical equipment.
• Assist with the installation, dismantling, assembly, and commissioning of mechanical equipment.
• Perform equipment alignment to ensure proper operation and prevent premature wear or damage.
• Carry out proper lubrication of bearings, gears, moving parts, and other mechanical components according to maintenance requirements.
• Conduct routine inspections and equipment condition checks.
• Respond promptly to mechanical breakdowns and equipment failures affecting production operations.
• Assist in identifying the root causes of recurring mechanical problems and recommend corrective actions.
• Use appropriate hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and mechanical maintenance equipment.
• Follow equipment manuals, maintenance procedures, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Monitor equipment performance and report unusual vibration, noise, temperature, leakage, or other abnormal conditions.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, preventive maintenance, breakdowns, and completed work orders.
• Coordinate with electrical technicians, production operators, supervisors, and other maintenance personnel.
• Assist with planned shutdowns, equipment overhauls, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure mechanical spare parts, tools, and maintenance materials are handled and stored properly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of mechanical work areas, tools, machinery, and maintenance facilities.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Apply proper equipment isolation and safe maintenance practices before performing repair or servicing work.
• Report major equipment problems, unsafe conditions, damaged components, and spare-part requirements to the supervisor.
• Support continuous improvement activities designed to improve equipment reliability, safety, and production efficiency.
• Perform other mechanical maintenance and technical duties assigned by management.
