HAIRDRESSER

Qualifications:

• Female applicants are preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of working experience as a Hairdresser or in a related position.
• At least High School Graduate.
• Practical experience in professional hair cutting, trimming, styling, and treatment services.
• Skilled in hair coloring techniques, including dyeing, highlights, and balayage.
• Experience with permanent waves and chemical hair straightening treatments.
• Knowledge of proper hair product mixing, application, and processing techniques.
• Good understanding of different hair types, hair conditions, face shapes, and appropriate styling techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Professional, friendly, patient, and customer-oriented.
• Knowledge of proper sanitation, hygiene, and safety procedures in a beauty salon.
• Able to work efficiently in a busy salon environment.
• Creative, adaptable, and willing to learn new hairstyles and techniques.
• Reliable, hardworking, and well-groomed.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct personalized consultations to assess clients’ hair type, face shape, condition, and styling preferences.
• Recommend suitable hairstyles, cuts, colors, treatments, and maintenance routines based on each client’s needs.
• Perform professional hair cutting, trimming, shaping, and styling services.
• Create and execute a variety of hairstyles for different occasions and client preferences.
• Safely apply hair coloring treatments, including dyes, highlights, and balayage.
• Perform permanent wave and chemical straightening treatments using proper application and processing techniques.
• Accurately mix and prepare hair color and chemical treatment products according to manufacturer instructions.
• Assess hair and scalp condition before performing chemical treatments to help ensure appropriate service selection.
• Monitor processing times and treatment results to achieve the desired outcome while minimizing hair damage.
• Wash, condition, dry, and style clients’ hair as part of salon services.
• Use professional hairdressing tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain proper sanitation and hygiene of scissors, combs, brushes, styling tools, workstations, and other salon equipment.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
• Follow proper safety procedures when handling hair dyes, chemicals, and other salon products.
• Recommend appropriate professional hair care products based on clients’ hair type and treatment needs.
• Explain proper home hair-care and maintenance techniques to clients.
• Provide friendly, professional, and customer-oriented service throughout each appointment.
• Maintain awareness of current hair trends, styling techniques, and professional salon practices.
• Monitor the condition and availability of hairdressing products and supplies.
• Coordinate with other salon staff to maintain smooth daily salon operations.
• Handle clients’ hair and personal belongings with appropriate care and professionalism.
• Perform other hairdressing and salon-related duties assigned by management.
