Job Location: Mozambique
Daeah Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Material Inspector to ensure that all incoming construction materials comply with project specifications, quality standards, and approved documentation for major engineering and construction projects in Mozambique.
The Material Inspector will be responsible for inspecting, verifying, and monitoring materials from receipt through storage and issuance to ensure quality, traceability, and compliance with project requirements.
INSPECTOR MATERIAL
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience as a Material Inspector, QA/QC Inspector, or similar role in construction, industrial, oil and gas, or infrastructure projects.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor’s / College Degree holder in Engineering (Others) or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, material inspection procedures, quality documentation, and material traceability.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, material specifications, and technical documents.
- Familiarity with material receiving procedures, storage requirements, and quality control standards.
- Good attention to detail, analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
- Proficient in preparing inspection reports and maintaining accurate records.
- Willing to work on project sites in Mozambique.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect incoming materials to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, approved drawings, and procurement requirements.
- Verify material quality, dimensions, quantities, certifications, and documentation before acceptance and use on site.
- Review material test certificates (MTCs), inspection reports, certificates of compliance, and other quality documents.
- Monitor the receipt, storage, preservation, handling, and issuance of materials to ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements.
- Ensure proper identification, traceability, and labeling of materials throughout the project.
- Identify non-conforming materials and coordinate with QA/QC personnel, warehouse staff, engineers, and suppliers for corrective actions.
- Conduct inspections of stored materials to ensure proper preservation and prevent damage or deterioration.
- Prepare inspection reports, material receiving records, and quality documentation.
- Coordinate with construction, procurement, warehouse, and quality teams to ensure timely availability of approved materials.
- Ensure all inspection activities comply with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and project quality management procedures.
