Daeah Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd is seeking skilled and experienced CO₂ Pipe Welders to perform high-quality welding works for piping systems in major engineering and construction projects in Mozambique.

The Pipe Welder CO₂ will be responsible for executing welding activities using CO₂ gas-shielded welding processes while ensuring compliance with approved welding procedures, project specifications, and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of working experience as a Pipe Welder, CO₂ Welder, or similar position in industrial, piping, or construction projects.
• Experience in carbon steel, alloy steel, and piping fabrication is preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in GMAW (MIG) and/or FCAW welding processes.
• Ability to read and understand piping drawings, welding symbols, and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with welding procedures, inspection requirements, and safety standards.
• Ability to perform quality welding works with attention to detail.
• No minimum educational attainment required.
• Willing to work on project sites in Mozambique.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Perform CO₂ gas-shielded welding using GMAW (MIG) and/or FCAW processes on carbon steel, alloy steel, and other piping materials in accordance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Prepare welding joints by verifying proper fit-up, bevels, root gaps, alignment, and cleanliness before welding.
• Read and interpret piping isometric drawings, welding symbols, spool drawings, and project specifications.
• Perform pipe welding activities including root passes, filling, and final weld passes according to required standards.
• Inspect completed welds and ensure weld quality meets project requirements.
• Adjust welding equipment, parameters, and techniques to achieve proper weld penetration and quality.
• Conduct grinding, cleaning, and preparation of welding areas as required.
• Follow approved welding procedures, safety requirements, and quality control practices.
• Maintain welding tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and efficient working condition.
• Coordinate with pipe fitters, supervisors, inspectors, and other site personnel to complete assigned welding tasks.
