Just Automotive Recruitment is seeking skilled and qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanics for full-time opportunities in Australia. The successful candidates will be responsible for diagnostic testing, scheduled servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs on heavy commercial trucks, ensuring vehicles meet strict safety and operational standards.

TRUCK MECHANIC

Qualifications:

• Education/Certification: Formal trade qualification or certification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Repair (or equivalent).
• Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of workshop experience working with heavy commercial vehicles.
• Brand Expertise: Proven experience servicing European truck brands (e.g., Volvo, Scania, Mercedes-Benz, MAN, DAF).
• Technical Skills: Competency in basic auto-electrical troubleshooting alongside heavy mechanical repairs.
• Safety Record: Strong commitment to occupational health and safety with an excellent safety track record.
• Language Proficiency: Good spoken and written English communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled maintenance, mechanical servicing, and safety inspections on heavy commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair engine, transmission, steering, suspension, and braking system issues.
• Carry out basic auto-electrical fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and service documentation in clear English.
• Uphold strict workplace safety policies and follow correct workshop procedures.
