Gill Group Ltd. is seeking an experienced Slipform Paver Operator for an employment opportunity in the United Kingdom. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating slipform paving machinery and related construction equipment to deliver high-quality paving work safely and efficiently. Candidates should have practical experience in slipform paving, hold a valid CSCS or CPCS card, and be able to work effectively with other personnel on construction sites.

SLIPFORM PAVER OPERATOR

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid CSCS or CPCS card.
• Proven experience with slipform paving is required.
• Practical experience operating slipform paving machinery and related construction equipment.
• Ability to operate different types of construction equipment is an advantage.
• Good understanding of construction site operations, equipment safety, and paving procedures.
• Ability to read and follow site instructions, work specifications, and relevant plans.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate and high-quality paving work.
• Ability to operate machinery safely, efficiently, and productively.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with other personnel.
• Reliable, responsible, and capable of working as part of a construction team.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Ability to identify and report equipment problems and site hazards.
• Willingness to perform duties safely and productively to ensure quality work.
• Physically capable of working on active construction sites and performing assigned duties.

Responsibilities:

• Operate slipform paver for roadway, airport, and commercial projects.
• Maintain consistent quality and workmanship texture in paving.
• Assist in machine setup and width changes and conduct pre-operational checks of equipment.
• Ensure construction per plan requirements
• Operate construction equipment in accordance with company procedures and safety regulations.
• Perform daily maintenance, cleaning, and safety checks of equipment.
• Ensure company equipment, material, and the worksite are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner.
• Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation, as required. Other duties as assigned.
• Control and guide machine to lay concrete
• Fill tanks or hoppers with paving materials.
• Spread and compact concrete paving.
• Smooth out concrete using special attachments.
• Ensure all machines are well-oiled, serviced, and inspected.
• Coordinate materials at job site.
• Operate tamping machines or manually roll surfaces to compact and finish road materials, according to specifications.
• Operate other machines such as loaders.
• Push dump trucks to maintain flow of concrete into hoppers
• Drive or attach machines onto tractor trailers.
• Light burners on machines and regulate screed temperatures.
