Job Location: Mozambique
Daeah Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd is looking for a qualified and experienced Inspector – Steel Structure to monitor and ensure the quality and compliance of steel fabrication and erection activities for construction projects in Mozambique.
The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting structural steel works, verifying compliance with project requirements, and ensuring all activities meet approved quality standards, drawings, procedures, and industry codes.
INSPECTOR STEEL STRUCTURE
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience in steel structure inspection, fabrication, erection, or QA/QC activities.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor’s / College Degree holder in Engineering (Others) or related fields.
- Experience in industrial, infrastructure, oil and gas, power, or large-scale construction projects is an advantage.
- Knowledge of structural steel fabrication, erection methods, welding processes, and inspection procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, technical specifications, and engineering documents.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures, inspection standards, and construction documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and reporting skills.
- Willing to work on project sites in Mozambique.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect steel structure fabrication and erection activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, and quality standards.
- Conduct inspections of structural steel works, including fabrication, installation, alignment, bolting, and welding activities.
- Verify the quality of steel materials, workmanship, and installation processes according to project requirements.
- Review inspection reports, material certificates, welding records, and other quality documentation.
- Ensure all steel structure activities comply with approved procedures, specifications, and applicable construction codes.
- Monitor welding and fabrication activities and coordinate with QA/QC personnel for inspection requirements.
- Identify quality issues, non-conformities, and deviations; recommend corrective actions when necessary.
- Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate quality records for project documentation.
- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, construction teams, and client representatives regarding inspection activities.
- Ensure all inspection work is performed in accordance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements.
