Job Location: Mozambique
Daeah Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Hydro Foreman to supervise and coordinate hydrostatic testing activities for piping systems in construction projects in Mozambique. The successful candidate will ensure that hydrotest operations are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project procedures, approved test packages, and quality requirements.
HYDRO FOREMAN
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience as a Hydro Foreman or in a similar piping/hydrotesting supervisory role.
- No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
- Strong knowledge of hydrostatic testing procedures, piping systems, and pressure testing requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret piping isometric drawings, P&IDs, and test documentation.
- Experience supervising hydrotest crews and coordinating site testing activities.
- Good leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of HSE requirements related to pressure testing activities.
- Experience in EPC, oil and gas, petrochemical, power plant, or heavy industrial construction projects is an advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Review hydrotest packages, piping isometric drawings, P&IDs, and test procedures prior to work execution.
- Supervise hydrostatic testing activities, including test preparation, pressurization,
- pressure holding, leak inspection, depressurization, drainage, drying, and reinstatement operations.
- Ensure proper installation and use of temporary blinds, test manifolds, pressure gauges, vents, drains, hoses, pumps, and other hydrotest equipment.
- Coordinate with piping supervisors, engineers, QA/QC personnel, safety officers, and construction teams regarding hydrotest activities.
- Verify that all test equipment is properly installed, calibrated, and ready for use before testing begins.
- Ensure compliance with approved hydrotest procedures, safety requirements, and project specifications.
- Conduct toolbox meetings and enforce safe work practices during hydrotest operations.
- Monitor manpower, equipment, and materials required for hydrotest activities.
Prepare daily reports, test records, and progress updates. - Identify and report issues, leaks, or unsafe conditions and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Perform other hydrotest supervisory duties assigned by management.
