Job Location: Mozambique
Daeah Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd is seeking an experienced Welding Inspector to ensure welding activities comply with project specifications, approved welding procedures, quality standards, and applicable industry codes for major construction projects in Mozambique.
The Welding Inspector will be responsible for monitoring welding operations, conducting inspections, reviewing documentation, and ensuring weld quality and integrity throughout the project.
INSPECTOR WELDING
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience in welding inspection, QA/QC, or related construction activities.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor’s / College Degree holder in Engineering (Others) or related fields.
- Experience in industrial, oil and gas, power, infrastructure, or large-scale construction projects is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of welding processes, welding procedures, inspection methods, and quality standards.
- Ability to read and interpret welding drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Familiarity with welding codes, inspection requirements, and quality control procedures.
- Good attention to detail, communication, and reporting skills.
- Willing to work on project sites in Mozambique.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect welding activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, welding procedures, and quality requirements.
- Perform weld inspections and monitor welding processes to verify compliance with approved procedures and client standards.
- Conduct visual inspections of completed welds to assess quality, workmanship, and structural integrity.
- Review welding documentation, including welding procedures, welder qualifications, inspection records, and related reports.
- Verify welding parameters, materials, and techniques are in accordance with approved requirements.
- Identify welding defects, non-conformities, and deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams, engineers, supervisors, welders, and client representatives regarding inspection activities.
- Prepare welding inspection reports and maintain accurate quality documentation.
Support non-destructive testing (NDT) activities and follow up on inspection results when required. - Ensure all inspection activities comply with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
