Home Connect is seeking an experienced and responsible Team Lead to oversee telecommunications and fiber optic field operations in Brunei Darussalam. The successful candidate will supervise workers and technicians, coordinate daily assignments, monitor work progress, assist with fiber optic and ONT installations, and ensure that completed work meets required technical, quality, and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• 21–42 years old.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in telecommunications, fiber optics, civil works, or a related field.
• Experience in supervising or leading technicians or field workers is an advantage.
• Knowledge of fiber optic installation, routing, network layouts, and ONT equipment.
• Ability to perform or supervise new ONT installations and customer relocations.
• Ability to prepare and interpret fiber optic route drawings and network layouts.
• Knowledge of basic fiber optic and ONT troubleshooting.
• Ability to prepare and update as-built drawings based on actual site conditions.
• Good understanding of workplace safety procedures and technical work standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work effectively with technicians, project coordinators, clients, and other team members.
• Organized, responsible, detail-oriented, and capable of monitoring multiple field activities.
• Physically fit and willing to perform field-based telecommunications and installation work.

Responsibilities:

• Assign daily tasks and work schedules to technicians and field workers.
• Monitor team performance and ensure assigned work is completed on time.
• Supervise telecommunications, fiber optic, civil works, and related field activities.
• Carry out new customer installations and relocation of ONT (router) equipment.
• Assist with fiber optic and ONT installation, connection, testing, and basic troubleshooting.
• Prepare fiber optic route drawings and network layout plans.
• Review site conditions and ensure network layouts are practical and accurate.
• Inspect completed installation and construction work to ensure compliance with required standards.
• Identify and report workmanship issues, technical problems, and incomplete work.
• Troubleshoot basic fiber optic and ONT-related issues and coordinate more complex technical concerns with the appropriate personnel.
• Coordinate daily activities with technicians, project coordinators, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and support to technicians and field workers.
• Ensure workers properly follow workplace safety procedures and required work standards.
• Monitor the proper use of tools, equipment, materials, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Prepare as-built drawings based on completed installations and actual site conditions.
• Update network designs and drawings when site conditions differ from the original plans.
• Maintain accurate records of completed works, site activities, installations, and technical changes.
• Report project progress and site concerns to supervisors or the project coordinator.
• Assist in resolving customer concerns related to installation, relocation, and basic network connectivity.
• Maintain good communication and coordination among the field team, management, and clients.
• Perform other related telecommunications, fiber optic, and team supervision duties assigned by management.
