ASSISTANT NAIL TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of working experience is required.
• Must be at least a high school graduate.
• Female applicants are preferred for this role.
• Experience as a Nail Technician, Nail Technician Assistant, or salon staff is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic manicure and pedicure procedures, including nail cleaning, shaping, buffing, and polishing.
• Familiarity with nail polish, gel products, nail care tools, and basic salon equipment.
• Good understanding of salon hygiene, sanitation, and proper tool handling.
• Creative, detail-oriented, and customer-service oriented.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Pleasant, professional, and attentive when dealing with clients.
• Willingness to learn new nail techniques, products, and salon procedures.
• Able to work efficiently in a busy salon environment.
• Physically capable of standing and performing hands-on salon work for extended periods.
• Responsible, reliable, hardworking, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Nail Technician in providing manicure and pedicure services.
• Prepare nail polish, gel products, tools, equipment, and other materials needed for nail services.
• Assist with basic nail cleaning, shaping, buffing, and polishing.
• Prepare clients and workstations before manicure and pedicure procedures.
• Assist Nail Technicians during nail treatments and other salon services as instructed.
• Clean and sanitize nail tools, equipment, workstations, and service areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the salon and nail service area.
• Ensure nail products and supplies are properly stored and readily available.
• Check supplies and inform the Nail Technician or supervisor when materials need replenishment.
• Follow proper hygiene, sanitation, and infection-control procedures during nail services.
• Handle nail products and salon chemicals safely and according to instructions.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining nail tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Provide friendly and professional assistance to clients before, during, and after services.
• Help maintain an orderly appointment and service area during busy salon periods.
• Support Nail Technicians in preparing materials for different nail designs and treatments.
• Assist in maintaining proper organization of nail polish, gel colors, tools, and other products.
• Observe client preferences and service instructions to help ensure customer satisfaction.
• Follow salon policies, service standards, safety procedures, and instructions from supervisors.
• Perform other salon support and nail care duties assigned by management.
