AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

  • Male applicants are preferred for this role.
  • A minimum of 3 years of working experience in automotive mechanics, particularly with light vehicles, is required.
  • Candidates must be a Vocational Graduate in Automotive Mechanics or any related technical field.
  • Porsche certifications or relevant brand-specific training is considered a strong advantage.
  • Proven experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of light vehicles, with solid expertise in automotive electrical and electronic systems.
  • Must be knowledgeable, reliable, and capable of performing vehicle diagnostics, routine maintenance, and complex mechanical repairs independently.
  • Proficient in using precision measuring tools, including Micrometers, Vernier calipers, Gauges, and Electrical multimeters.
  • Demonstrated basic knowledge of automotive diagnostic scanners and auto testing equipment.
  • Possess basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, PDF viewers, and photo-editing applications for technical documentation.
  • Good analytical, technical troubleshooting, and communication skills to execute accurate vehicle inspections and repairs.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform vehicle diagnostics, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on light vehicles independently and accurately.
  • Execute mechanical, electrical, and electronic system overhauls, engine tuning, brake servicing, and component replacements.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex electrical, electronic, and mechanical vehicle faults using diagnostic scanners and multimeters safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect engine parts, tolerances, and wear levels using precision tools such as Micrometers, Vernier calipers, and specialized Gauges.
  • Read, interpret, and follow wiring diagrams, technical service manuals, diagnostic codes, and manufacturer specifications accurately.
  • Support workshop operations by maintaining diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and technical reference materials.
  • Conduct pre-repair evaluations, road tests, and post-repair quality inspections to ensure optimal vehicle safety and performance.
  • Ensure strict compliance with automotive service standards, workshop safety procedures, and local environmental regulations.
  • Coordinate with service advisors, workshop supervisors, and parts department personnel regarding vehicle repair statuses and parts availability.
  • Prepare digital inspection reports, repair logs, work orders, and technical photographs using computer applications accurately.
