WHEEL ALIGNMENT

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience is required.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience as a Wheel Alignment Technician or in a similar automotive service position.
• Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or a similar field.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Experience working with MG vehicles is preferred/required, depending on the employer’s requirements.
• Knowledge of MG vehicle wheel alignment, steering, suspension, and tire systems.
• Relevant automotive training or certification is an advantage.
• Proven experience in wheel alignment and automotive service.
• Ability to inspect and identify tire, steering, and suspension issues.
• Knowledge of wheel alignment angles, vehicle specifications, and alignment adjustment procedures.
• Ability to operate computerized wheel alignment equipment and related automotive tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate, quality workmanship.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on work in an automotive workshop environment.
• Ability to follow technical instructions, manufacturer specifications, and workplace safety procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform wheel alignment services on various types of vehicles.
• Inspect vehicles to identify wheel alignment, steering, suspension, and tire-related problems.
• Use computerized wheel alignment machines and other appropriate diagnostic equipment.
• Measure and adjust camber, caster, toe, and other applicable wheel alignment angles according to vehicle specifications.
• Check tire condition, tire pressure, tread wear, and other factors that may affect vehicle alignment.
• Inspect steering and suspension components for signs of wear, damage, or improper adjustment.
• Identify abnormal tire wear and determine whether it may be caused by alignment or suspension problems.
• Perform necessary adjustments to achieve proper wheel alignment specifications.
• Verify alignment readings before and after adjustments.
• Follow manufacturer specifications and workshop procedures when servicing vehicles.
• Apply knowledge of MG vehicle wheel alignment, steering, suspension, and tire systems when required.
• Conduct final inspections and road tests when authorized to ensure proper vehicle handling and alignment.
• Report damaged or defective steering, suspension, tire, or related components to the supervisor.
• Recommend additional repairs when alignment problems are caused by worn or damaged components.
• Maintain accurate service and inspection records.
• Properly operate, clean, and maintain wheel alignment machines, tools, and workshop equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow automotive workshop safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment.
• Coordinate with mechanics, service advisors, and other workshop personnel to ensure efficient vehicle servicing.
• Perform other automotive inspection, wheel alignment, and service duties assigned by management.
