AUTO DENTER

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience is required.
• Preferably 2–3 years of relevant experience as an Auto Denter, Auto Body Repair Technician, or in a similar position.
• Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Engineering (Others) or a similar field.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Experience working with MG vehicles is preferred/required, depending on employer requirements.
• Proven ability to assess and repair dents, scratches, damaged body panels, and panel misalignment.
• Knowledge of automotive body repair, dent removal, panel straightening, and vehicle body restoration techniques.
• Ability to safely and correctly use hand tools, power tools, and auto body repair equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  Good understanding of vehicle body structures and panel alignment.
• Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on work in an automotive workshop environment.
• Ability to follow technical instructions, safety procedures, and workshop standards.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect vehicles to identify dents, scratches, body damage, and panel misalignment.
• Assess the extent and type of damage before beginning repair work.
• Repair dents and damaged body panels using appropriate hand tools, power tools, and dent repair equipment.
• Remove dents while minimizing damage to the original vehicle panels.
• Restore damaged panels to their proper shape and alignment.
• Ensure repaired panels are properly aligned with the vehicle’s original body structure.
• Repair minor scratches, surface imperfections, and other body defects as required.
• Remove or reinstall body components when necessary to complete repair work.
• Use appropriate techniques for metal straightening, panel reshaping, and dent removal.
• Inspect repaired areas to ensure smooth surfaces, proper alignment, and quality workmanship.
• Prepare repaired body panels for subsequent sanding, painting, or finishing work.
• Coordinate with auto mechanics, painters, estimators, and other workshop personnel during repair operations.
• Follow repair instructions, technical specifications, and established workshop procedures.
• Properly operate and maintain dent repair tools and workshop equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment.
• Report major or additional vehicle damage to the supervisor before proceeding with repairs.
• Perform final quality checks on completed dent and body repair work.
• Minimize material waste and prevent unnecessary damage during repair operations.
• Perform other auto body repair and workshop duties assigned by management.
