SEC Mashibah Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to carry out the inspection, maintenance, and repair of heavy-duty vehicles and machinery, ensuring optimal performance, operational reliability, safety, and compliance with regulatory and company standards.

HEAVY VEHICLE MECHANIC

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, fuel injection systems, transmissions, braking systems, suspension systems, and hydraulic components.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Experience servicing trucks, lorries, construction machinery, and other heavy vehicles.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and workshop safety procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, repair guides, and maintenance documentation.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
• Physically fit and capable of performing demanding mechanical repair work.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections, servicing, and preventive maintenance on heavy vehicles, including trucks, lorries, and construction machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using appropriate testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Repair and replace defective components such as engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension systems, steering systems, and related parts.
• Service and maintain diesel engines, fuel injection systems, and associated mechanical components.
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure all vehicles are roadworthy and compliant with applicable regulations.
• Respond to vehicle breakdowns and perform emergency repairs as required.
• Carry out corrective maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts utilized.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company safety policies, procedures, and standard operating practices.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper storage of tools, equipment, and workshop facilities.
• Report major mechanical issues and maintenance requirements to supervisors.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing fleet reliability, safety, and maintenance efficiency.
