We are looking for an experienced Group Accounting Supervisor to join Telemu No. 16 Limited in Papua New Guinea. The successful candidate will oversee group accounting functions, ensure accurate financial reporting, supervise accounting staff, and maintain compliance with accounting standards and company policies across multiple business entities.

Group Accounting Supervisor

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent professional certification is an advantage
• 5–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in general accounting
• 2–3 years of experience in a senior or supervisory accounting role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and applicable accounting standards
• Experience in group or multi-entity accounting is an advantage
• Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet reporting deadlines

Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day accounting operations and ensure the accuracy of financial records
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
• Oversee general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing activities
• Coordinate and consolidate financial reports for multiple business entities
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
• Monitor budgeting, cash flow, and financial performance, providing recommendations to management
• Supervise, mentor, and support accounting staff to ensure efficient workflow and professional development
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial audits
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting systems
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned
