CHEMICAL TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Technical Diploma in Chemical Technology, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in various maintenance works or a related technical field.
• Relevant experience in chemical systems, equipment maintenance, technical operations, or industrial environments is preferred.
• Good understanding of chemical handling and workplace safety procedures.
• Ability to perform inspections, routine checks, testing, and maintenance-related activities.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Ability to follow technical instructions, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of proper chemical storage, handling, labeling, and PPE requirements.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a technical team.
• Physically fit and capable of performing assigned technical and maintenance duties.

Responsibilities:

• Perform assigned chemical technical and maintenance activities according to work requirements and established procedures.
• Inspect chemical-related equipment, systems, and components for proper condition and operation.
• Assist in identifying equipment abnormalities, faults, leaks, or other technical issues.
• Conduct routine checks and inspections of chemical systems and related equipment.
• Assist with troubleshooting and corrective maintenance activities as required.
• Perform basic testing and monitoring activities according to approved procedures.
• Handle chemicals, materials, tools, and equipment safely and in accordance with workplace procedures.
• Follow chemical handling, storage, labeling, and safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, maintenance activities, and work completed.
• Report equipment problems, chemical leaks, safety hazards, or abnormal conditions to supervisors immediately.
• Follow technical manuals, operating procedures, maintenance instructions, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel and other technical staff when resolving equipment or process issues.
• Assist with preventive maintenance programs and scheduled technical activities.
• Keep tools, equipment, workstations, and assigned areas clean and properly organized.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Support other technical maintenance activities according to the nature of the assigned work.
• Perform other chemical technician and maintenance-related duties assigned by management.
