SENIOR COSTING/COSTING SPECIALIST
Qualifications:
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in Healthcare Costing or Healthcare Pricing.
- Experience working in a hospital, healthcare organization, or insurance company.
- Strong knowledge of medical coding, healthcare costing, and pricing structures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced or strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
- Experience developing and analyzing costing models, pricing structures, and financial reports.
- Good understanding of healthcare services, medical procedures, and associated costs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to analyze complex financial and healthcare data.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze healthcare costing and pricing for medical services, procedures, and treatments.
- Develop accurate cost calculations based on healthcare services, resources, procedures, and operational requirements.
- Analyze medical service costs and identify factors affecting healthcare pricing.
- Review and validate costing data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Apply knowledge of medical coding to support healthcare costing and pricing activities.
- Analyze medical codes, procedures, diagnoses, and service components relevant to costing.
- Develop and maintain healthcare pricing structures and costing models.
- Prepare detailed costing reports, pricing analyses, and financial summaries for management.
- Use Microsoft Excel to analyze large datasets, prepare calculations, and develop costing models.
- Identify cost variances, trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate with finance, medical, insurance, billing, and other relevant departments to obtain accurate costing information.
- Review healthcare service utilization and cost data to support pricing decisions.
- Assist in evaluating contracts, reimbursement arrangements, and insurance-related pricing requirements.
- Ensure costing and pricing information is supported by accurate and reliable data.
- Maintain organized records of costing calculations, pricing assumptions, and supporting documentation.
- Assist management in making informed decisions regarding healthcare pricing and cost management.
- Ensure compliance with applicable internal policies and healthcare costing procedures.
- Perform other costing, pricing, and analytical duties assigned by management.
