DEMI CHEF DE PARTIE
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant working experience is required.
- Experience in a professional kitchen or food service environment is preferred.
- No minimum educational attainment is required.
- Knowledgeable in food preparation, cooking techniques, portioning, seasoning, and basic kitchen operations.
- Able to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Good teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
- Willing to assist and support other kitchen staff when required.
- Must possess a valid passport with at least 2 years and 6 months validity.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chef de Partie in managing and supervising the assigned kitchen section.
- Prepare and cook ingredients, including meats, seafood, vegetables, rice, sauces, and other food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Perform food preparation tasks such as marinating, seasoning, cutting, portioning, and cooking.
- Ensure food is prepared with consistent quality, taste, portion, and presentation.
- Assist the Chef de Partie in coordinating daily kitchen operations and food preparation activities.
- Monitor food preparation and ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.
- Assist with inventory control and report ingredient shortages, damaged items, or food wastage to the Chef de Partie.
- Properly store and handle food ingredients in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Train, guide, and support Commis Chefs and kitchen assistants as required.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and proper organization of the assigned workstation.
- Ensure kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas are properly cleaned and maintained.
- Follow all kitchen safety, food hygiene, and company procedures.
- Perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned.
