ASSISTANT RESTAURANT MANAGER
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant working experience.
- Must hold a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate in Food and Beverage Preparation/Service Management, Hospitality/Tourism
- Management, or a similar field.
- Diploma or course certificate related to restaurant, hospitality, food and beverage, or service management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise, motivate, and develop subordinates.
- Ability to create and implement effective operational plans.
- Ability to provide training, coaching, and guidance to restaurant employees.
- Strong organizational and resource-management skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with both internal and external resources.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong interest in and commitment to customer service.
- Ability to handle customer concerns professionally and maintain positive guest relationships.
- Good understanding of restaurant operations, food and beverage service, and hospitality practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Physically fit and capable of performing supervisory and operational duties.
- Responsible, hardworking, organized, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations and service activities.
- Support the implementation of operational plans, procedures, and service standards.
- Supervise and coordinate restaurant staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Assign duties and responsibilities to subordinates according to operational requirements.
- Provide training, coaching, and guidance to employees to improve their skills and performance.
- Monitor employee performance and provide appropriate feedback and support.
- Maintain effective coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
- Ensure adequate coordination and utilization of available manpower, equipment, materials, and other resources.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external resources when necessary to support restaurant operations.
- Monitor customer service and ensure guests receive professional, efficient, and courteous service.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints and assist in resolving service-related issues.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, service, cleanliness, hygiene, and restaurant presentation.
- Ensure employees follow company policies, operational procedures, food safety requirements, and workplace regulations.
- Monitor restaurant opening, closing, and daily operational procedures.
- Assist with staff scheduling, attendance monitoring, and shift assignments.
- Monitor inventory, supplies, and equipment and report shortages or maintenance requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers and other service providers when required.
- Assist in controlling operational costs and minimizing unnecessary waste.
- Monitor sales and service performance and report operational concerns to the Restaurant Manager.
- Help maintain a positive and productive working environment among restaurant employees.
- Promote teamwork and effective communication among staff members.
- Assist in implementing promotional activities and customer service initiatives when required.
- Maintain accurate operational records and reports as assigned.
- Support the Restaurant Manager in achieving operational targets and maintaining service standards.
- Perform other restaurant management and supervisory duties assigned by management.
