CRANE ELECTRICIAN

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience.
• Candidates must be at least a High School Graduate.
• Previous experience in crane electrical maintenance and repair is highly relevant.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, control circuits, motors, wiring, sensors, switches, and crane electrical components.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults using appropriate testing equipment.
• Able to read and understand electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, and technical instructions.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions from supervisors.
• Physically fit and capable of working in industrial environments and performing hands-on maintenance tasks.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety and safe work practices.
• Ability to work effectively with crane operators, electricians, mechanics, and other maintenance personnel.
• Reliable, hardworking, safety-conscious, and responsible.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect electrical systems, wiring, control panels, motors, switches, and components of cranes and lifting equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective electrical maintenance on cranes and related equipment.
• Diagnose electrical faults, breakdowns, and malfunctions using appropriate testing instruments and diagnostic procedures.
• Troubleshoot electrical control circuits, power supply systems, motors, relays, contactors, sensors, and other crane components.
• Repair, replace, and reconnect defective electrical components, wiring, cables, terminals, and electrical devices.
• Conduct routine electrical inspections to identify potential faults and prevent equipment breakdowns.
• Test crane electrical systems after maintenance or repair to ensure safe and proper operation.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, control circuit diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Maintain and troubleshoot crane control systems, limit switches, emergency stop systems, and safety-related electrical devices.
• Inspect electrical connections and ensure proper termination, insulation, grounding, and protection.
• Assist in the installation, modification, upgrading, and commissioning of crane electrical systems when required.
• Perform electrical measurements and testing using multimeters, insulation testers, clamp meters, and other appropriate equipment.
• Identify abnormal electrical conditions such as overheating, voltage problems, short circuits, loose connections, and component failures.
• Respond to electrical breakdowns and carry out timely repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment conditions.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules and company maintenance procedures.
• Ensure electrical tools, testing equipment, and work areas are properly maintained and organized.
• Follow lockout/tagout and other electrical isolation procedures where applicable.
• Comply with company policies, electrical safety standards, crane safety procedures, and Saudi workplace regulations.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when performing electrical and crane maintenance work.
• Coordinate with mechanical technicians, crane operators, supervisors, and other maintenance personnel.
• Report major electrical faults, safety hazards, and equipment conditions to the supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and perform other crane electrical maintenance duties as assigned.
