NBTC Saudi Arabia is seeking a Mechanical Cost Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for mechanical construction projects in industrial, oil & gas, and infrastructure sectors. The role involves analyzing project requirements, preparing budgets, evaluating material and labor costs, and supporting project planning to ensure cost-effective and efficient execution.
COST ESTIMATOR (Mechanical)
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Cost Estimator in mechanical construction projects, preferably in oil & gas or industrial sectors.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, construction methods, and industry standards.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Proficiency in estimating software, spreadsheets, and cost management tools.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with Aramco or similar industrial project standards is an advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical systems, equipment, and installations based on project drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
- Analyze bills of materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor quotations to develop accurate budgets.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure all project requirements are considered in cost estimates.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and compliance with standards.
- Prepare and present cost reports, estimates, and proposals to management and clients.
- Maintain a database of historical costs, pricing trends, and supplier/vendor information.
- Review and update estimates during project execution to account for changes in scope, materials, or labor.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and project quality requirements.
